FAQ

General Info

How fast can it go?

  • It depends on your configuration — see the product page for speed and range estimates.

  • To reach the full motor potential, make sure you follow our setup guidelines closely.

Where are you located?

  • We’re based in Melbourne. Express orders to Australian addresses ship straight from here.

  • Our warranty and repair centre is also in Melbourne.

What are your shipping methods & delivery times?

  • We ship Australia-wide, with express delivery typically in 10 business days.

  • We also offer international shipping to select countries (email us for details).

How can I contact you?

  • You can reach us via email at [your-contact email].

Do the kit and battery ship together?

  • No — the motor kit and battery ship separately due to packaging and courier constraints.

What type of connector do you use?

  • We offer multiple connector options. If you don’t specify during checkout, a connector type will be chosen at random.

Product Setup & Compatibility

Do I need both a kit and a battery?

  • Yes — the kit and the battery are sold separately, and you need both for a complete e-bike setup.

What types of bikes are compatible with your kits?

  • Our kits fit hardtail mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, and city or road bikes.

  • Your frame should have 135 mm rear open-slotted dropouts (or other sizes depending on the motor — contact us if unsure).

  • Aluminium or steel frames are preferred. Carbon frames are not recommended due to risk of cracking under torque.

What should I know before installing the kit?

  • Motors from 1500W up to around 3000W generally support 135 mm dropouts (larger motors may require wider dropouts — contact us for options).

  • Our kits are water-resistant but not waterproof — avoid heavy rain immersion.

  • On some motors (e.g. hub-motor based), if your bike uses a spline-style cassette you might need to switch to a threaded freewheel — this is a simple and inexpensive fix.

Installation

Can I install it myself?

  • Yes — our kits are designed to be “plug and play” with only basic tools.

  • Having a helper can make the process easier, but it’s not essential.

  • If you’re unsure, we recommend having a local bike mechanic assist or check the setup.

What tools are required for installation?

  • Allen key set

  • Adjustable wrench or spanner

  • Phillips-head screwdriver

  • Cable ties (included)

  • Torque-arm wrench or socket

  • Chain whip & cassette tool (if you’re re-using your old cassette)

  • Tire levers & floor pump

  • Optional: electrical tape or heat-shrink for tidy wiring

How long does installation take?

  • For beginners: about 1–3 hours (especially if following video guides)

  • For someone experienced: roughly 30 minutes with standard bike-tools and knowledge

  • We provide full instructions and after-sales support until your build is complete.

What throttle is included in the kit?

  • A full twist-throttle is provided by default.

  • If you prefer a half-twist or thumb throttle, just email us after placing your order.

Battery & Power

What are the battery dimensions / what kind of battery options do you offer?

  • We offer triangle-style batteries (e.g. 48 V, 52 V, 72 V) and downtube-style batteries (36 V, 48 V, 52 V).

  • It’s important to measure your bike frame’s main triangle before ordering to ensure clearance.

How should I care for the battery to prolong its life?

  • Always use the original charger we supply — using third-party chargers may void your warranty.

  • Avoid fully draining the battery before recharging — aim to recharge when it drops to ~10–20%.

  • After charging, unplug the charger once full.

  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place. For long-term storage, keep it around 50% charged.

  • Do not immerse or wash the battery. Let it cool down after riding before charging.

  • Check and clean the connector ports periodically.

What is the expected lifespan of the battery?

  • With proper care, the battery should comfortably last around 5 years and tolerate 1,000+ charge cycles (depending on usage).

  • Parcels may be taken to your local post office or booked for redelivery.

Do you have a service centre for warranty or repairs?

Is shipping insured?

  • Yes — all parcels are insured against loss or damage during transit.

What is your refund and warranty policy?

  • We do not offer refunds — please choose carefully before purchase.

  • Installation damage isn’t covered under warranty, but spare parts are available on request.

  • Take clear photos or a video showing the damage and contact us immediately. We’ll assess the issue and replace or repair as needed.
